A splendidly performed folk album and an instant classic. While the artists say the music reflects introspection and mental illness, it has an entirely different effect on me. Songs like The Trial didn't seem like like songs of individualistic introspection, rather collective retrospection and the recognition of what important things we have lost in these last few centuries, of ancient and primordial ways and civilizations being buried, though not forgotten, and perhaps destined to return.
